Self PortraitThe question is often asked
who is behind these keys
So I set my pen to the task
and provide this tease
A chef's blade I wield
poultry, pork, and beef
This onion you peel,
the layers run deep
Six strings I bend
the blues I perform
Singing I only pretend
listen beyond the norm
Tales of woe by Poe
Life inspiration of Emerson
Fantasy warden in Jordan
Silent stalking for King
These are not my role above
no, that would be remiss;
rather for daughters to know love
from their proud father's kiss
My desire is a simple request:
interstellar collision of fate
A lady's attention to arrest,
and make her feel first rate
Ah, but the time of chivalry is past
shining knights are unemployed
There are no balconies to sing under,
with a sweet Juliet to adore
Still in moonlight i walk along
starry eyed I wishful gaze
Ready to write my song
to one who sets my heart ablaze
