I'm still geeking out over it!

Some days, it's just good to be a geek.

Digital paper will be mainstream very soon now - there is even a do-it-yourself kit for the uber geek. What is digital paper? It is a very thin screen (so thin, you can flex it like paper) that only takes energy to change the page, not display it. It has high contrast just like paper, and works wIll in any lighting. It is the first step in have our very own Hitchhicker's Guide (if you recall, you only needed to enter the item you wished to look up, and it would open to that topic). The next step, the plastic cover with the letters "Don't Panic," is being worked on as we speak by top NASA scientists.

Kermit the frog turned 50. That's not so geek, but it has kicked off the release of the Muppet Show on DVD - that is way geek, and way cool. It includes the original pilot, "Sex and Violence!" the pitch reel of the show, and a promo gag reel. As well as all 24 episodes from the 1976 season completely; restored and remastered. If you are still reading this and have not preordered by now, you are teh suk.

Serenity opens this friday. This is the movie based on the awesome, and short lived Firefly series. There is just something about a scifi show cancelled before it's time and then made into great movies. It's even better when the creator embraces his fans.

Still, all of this geek is sometimes too much for the non-geek, as shown below:

Some days, you just wanna sleep in.
