Ah, you Mac people... you love your Macs so. I don't blame you, though I'm a Linux/Windows guy I've used OS X and it's pretty nice. Mac people though... always so proud and quick to point out how the latest virus doesn't work on Macs.
Well, I know how Mac users are always upset when a software maker forget to make a version for them, or worse, releases the Mac version a year after the PC version. Sony, however was thinking of you.
Yes, the Sony "rootkit" comes in a Mac flavor too. For once, Windows and Macs can run the latest software in personal privacy invasion together.
Sadly, while Sony gave the windows uses
software to show the rootkit (not remove it, just show it's there), nothing has been released for the Mac (in fact, Sony has been quiet about this Mac software while getting busted on the windows side. Guess they though Mac users were too arrogant to check the CD). Also, Mac users get left behind as the
first virus to use the Sony rootkit to infect your system, is windows only.
