Rappers, known for their normal fiscally sound behaviour, like the over... err premium priced champagne Cristal. A Cristal executive however was quoted in 'The Economist' (cribs section) as calling the poetic praise of urban artists as "unwelcome attention" followed right after with "shit, was that out loud?"
Jay-Z, famed urban poet who enjoys the finer points of true champagne and CEO of the ROC (HOV), was shocked by this statement, and called upon his fellow brothers to band together and boycott Cristal. "All of my brothers, join with me in spirit and resolve, that we shall not consume the fruit ignorance brought, with or without tiny bubbles." (This quote translated by Jay-Z's PR Manager; it was heard originally as "Man, fuck them, it doesn't even come in 40s")
Perhaps the defining moment in this civil right movement was the broadcast of National Public Radio, playing Jay-Z. Not only did this raise awareness for the cause, but brought the rap art form to a new demographic, who did not know of it's existence. One listener was heard saying, "I didn't know there was music written after Mozart died."
In a related story, the face of Biggie Smalls is reported to have appeared in a taco shell, in a small city in Mexico. Witnesses reported the shell as saying, "See, I told you so."
Mo' Problems indeed, Biggie.

many of the threads I've read said that Jay-Z and those like him should have gotten their money up front before rep'ing anyone in their songs. that may not be the best course of action for everything, look at Kanga... it did REAL well didn't it... but then look at Jacobs, who would not like to be put in the same sentence as Cristal at present most likely.i doubt anyone would know what Cris is going to be missing out on had no one rep'd it in the first place. the truly intolerant would consider themselves well off, even for missing revenues, having properly put the peons in their place. Hey Jay-Z, boy-cotting will only do so much. how about a bit of Gentlemanly... competition? perhaps.

It's a good idea to have a site like this. Lots of interesting, and I hope there are some more to come. :) Keep up the good work...
