I know the posts have slowed down here on the site, but I've been swamped lately. Worry not, for it is the good kind of swamped - engaging, challenging, and fun projects are the source of my attention. I'm looking forward to sharing many of the things I've learned (and relearned) here on the blog, but nothing beats seeing it them live. Windows Presentation Foundation is "the most significant technology to come out of Microsoft. Ever." according to Mark Miller. We've all seen the demos of Visual Studio 2008 with Blend to create breathtaking UIs, but what is under the hood? Is WPF useful to the average developer cranking out WinForms applications for internal corporate use? To answer this question we will take a close look at WPF code - without VS2008 or Blend, and keeping the XAML to a minimum!

This session will cover using Master Pages, Themes, Skins, CSS, Web User Controls, Site Maps, Navigation Controls, Role and Profile Providers, and Web Services together for effective website architecture.
